Red, White and Blue!

This month's new designs are all about the Red, White and Blue!  First is July Cottage.  For this design you will need DMC 435, 744, 3031 and White.  You will also need Sampler Threads' Geranium and Aged Pewter and Crescent Colours' Betty Bluebell, Chopped Chives and Blue Beatrice.

Secondly, we have Star Spangled Garden, which was stitched on Wichelt's 28 count Country French Blue linen.  You will need DMC White along with Crescent Colours' Ladybug and Blue Beatrice and Weeks' Ivy and Dirt Road.

Both designs will be shipping to distributors at the end of next week so you should look for them in your shops towards the end of this month or early June.  Happy Stitching!

Cherries and Berries

Cherries and Berries - what a perfect combo, right? The design was stitched entirely in overdyed floss, but a DMC conversion is provided. You will need Crescent Colours' Wavy Navy, Toasted Marshmallow, Bramble Bush, Hazelnut and Finley Gold as well as Sampler Threads' Baby Spinach and School House Red to stitch the design as shown.

You can look for this design to arrive in your shops later this month or early next month, along with June Cottage. Happy Stitching!

June Cottage

Ladybugs and strawberries abound in June Cottage this month. Stitched on 28 count Lambswool Linen, the model uses DMC 434, 436, 726, 3031, 3033 and White. It also uses Crescent Colours' Ladybug and Sampler Threads' Baby Spinach.

Be sure to check back on Wednesday for a picture of our other new design this month, Cherries and Berries. Both of the designs will ship to distributors in a week and then onto the shops after that.

Walk Before You Fly

Four little bluebirds all perched and ready for their first flight! This model was stitched on Wichelt's 28 count Lambswool Linen and uses DMC, along with Crescent Colours' Blueberry Tart, Deep Blue Sea and Pebble Beach and Sampler Threads' Burlap and Shutter Green.

These patterns will ship on Friday to distributors along with May Cottage so you can expect them in your shop later this month to early next month.

May Cottage

Here's the new one for all you Cottage of the Month fans out there - it's May Cottage! This design is just buzzing with bees, flowers and birds. It is of course stitched on Wichelt's 28 count Lambswool Linen, like all the other cottages. You will need DMC 676, 959, 964, 3031, 3806 and White along with Crescent Colours' Frog Legs and Weeks Dye Works' Bright Leaf to complete the design as shown.

Juliet's Ice Cream Social Party

My daughter Juliet turned 10 this month, and we had an Ice Cream Social Party to celebrate!

My hubby made a couple of life sized ice cream cones (not pictured) and this ice cream truck. So cute for pictures!

We had a cake and sundae stand, with ice cream toppings and this adorable cake.

Here is the milk bar, complete with white, strawberry and chocolate milk. You may also notice the design "Ice Cream Sundae" on the shelf - I couldn't resist adding it to the party. It fit the theme perfectly!

Party Cakes

Anxiously awaiting their debut, here are the Party Cakes! I have to say I just love this one! You have to all know that I'm a dessert lover by now right?!

And here is a side view since it has been finished into the most adorable cube by Vonna, The Twisted Stitcher. You will be able to see more pictures of the finishing here at her blog: www.thetwistedstitcher.blogspot.com.

I think this is a great design for dessert lovers (like me!) or also maybe to celebrate a special birthday perhaps. You could replace the words "cakes" with a name or date or even the words "happy birthday." Several different options, but it's cute anyway you slice it ;)

These charts will be shipping to distributor's next week along with the new April Cottages, so keep an eye out for them later this month to early next month in your shops.

April Cottage

Another month, another cottage - and now it's time for April! This one is a very springtime cottage with it's lavender house, flowers and bluebirds. And don't forget the little bunny who has his eye on those carrots! For this pattern you'll need DMC threads along with Crescent Colours' Amethyst, Sampler Threads' Chives and Weeks' Artichoke.

Our Love Nest

Surrounded by birds, our charming pink cottage is truly the perfect "love nest." You could use this piece to commemorate your home, family or anniversary. It's also a great piece to be stitching if you're in that lovey dovey (pardon the pun!) mood with Valentine's Day approaching.

March Cottage

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend. I thought I would post the picture of March Cottage this morning and hopefully brighten everyone's Monday a bit! This month's cottage has just one overdyed thread, that being Weeks' Pecan. All the rest of the threads are DMC.

The Nutcracker

So this past weekend was Nutcracker weekend! This is Juliet's 4th year participating in her dance company's production of the quintessential Christmas ballet. And so it has become a part of our family's holiday tradition at this point - and we absolutely love it! Above is a picture of her dad and I with her after the show.

This was a picture of her taken onstage in her Arabian costume during dress rehearsal.

And here she is dressed as an Angel.

In the Meadow

As I said, this is the last of our holiday designs for this year. I really love the fabric that In the Meadow is stitched on. It's Weeks' 30 count Scuppernong Linen. The piece is stitched entirely using just five Crescent Colours: Bamboo, Bramble Bush, Blackbird, Hazelnut and Steamed Broccoli but a DMC conversion is provided.
